I am originally from Idaho, where I received my B.S. at University of Idaho in Entomology and Horticulture with a minor in Crop Science. I decided to come to Florida for my Masters in Horticulture and learned about the DPM program. I had already decided to continue with an interdisciplinary program, so DPM was perfect for me.

For the past two years, I have been completing my Masters at UF in Environmental Horticulture. My project looked at how increased genotypic diversity in St. Augustinegrass lawns could improve visual quality, insect diversity, and southern chinch bug pest management. As a DPM student, I am now working on monitoring peach borers and stink bugs in peach orchards and predicting populations to improve management.
