Sam Glucksman

Sam GlucksmanAs a native south Floridian, I grew up between the beach and fields of sugar cane in the city of Wellington.  As a child, I assisted my mother with her landscaping and plant care business to which I attribute my passion for plants now.  After graduating from Wellington Community High School, I attended the University of Florida and began studying molecular microbiology and cell science.  Unsatisfied with that field, I quickly joined the botany department in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and became fascinated with agricultural.  I was inducted into the honors agricultural fraternity of Alpha Zeta sophomore year, and attended two National Agricultural Leadership Conferences consecutively the following years.  After graduating, I was accepted into the Plant Medicine Program.  My goals after becoming a Doctor of Plant Medicine are to increase the sustainability and improve our agricultural methods, while remaining environmentally conscientious.  My hobbies include gardening, camping, fishing, hanging out with friends, and learning new things.
