Brianne Schobert

Brianne SchobertI was born in Nebraska with a corn field in the back yard but then my family moved to Vero Beach, Florida when I was three years old. I lived in Vero Beach until I moved to Gainesville to start my undergraduate degree in 2003. I am currently 22 years old and in December of 2006 I graduated with my bachelor of science degree in agronomy with a minor in soil and water science. The January after graduation I started the Doctor of Plant Medicine Program. Although I didn’t grow up on a farm I have always been interested in agriculture. The Doctor of Plant Medicine Program is the ideal program for me and I am very excited to be involved in such a unique program. With my degree I hope to make a career in crop consulting and or working with integrated pest management programs.

I am very active in campus clubs like the DPMSO and the Agronomy and Soils Club where I have served as treasurer, vice president and president. I am a member of Students in Agriculture, Soils and Environmental Science (SASES), and I participate in the annual national meetings. My hobbies include soccer, nature photography, hiking, anything involving adrenaline and I love to travel.
