Develop and implement training for new Plant Protection and Quarantine (PPQ) Officers, Pest Survey Specialists and State Cooperative Agricultural Survey (CAPS) Coordinators
Topics of instruction for the personnel mentioned above include- Introductory GIS, Integrated Survey Information System (ISIS), Fumigation technology and Pesticide Certification, Overview of the CAPS Program
Develop and implement training for Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Agricultural Specialists
Topics of instruction for the CBP Agricultural Specialists include Pest Identification- (coleopterans, dipterans, homopterans and acarides), and introductory plant pathology and entomology.
